The Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Association co-ordinates support, guidance and advice for people affected by the illness. The charity has a network of 90 branches and groups that provide local support.
The Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Association is the only national charity in England, Wales and Northern Ireland focused on improving access to care, research and campaigning for those people living with or affected by MND.

DiAMoND patient decision aid
Using joint funding from Marie Curie and the Motor Neurone Disease Association, researchers at Southampton University have implemented a web-based patient decision aid for people with motor neurone disease considering a gastrostomy feeding tube, availabe at this link.

The MND Asscocation has a helpline called MND Connect that gives people access to a quick route to get advice, practical and emotional support and directing to other services and agencies availailbe from:
Monday to Friday between 9am - 5pm and 7pm - 10:30pm.
Calls to this number are free from landlines and mobile phones within the UK and do not appear on itemised bills.
