Churches across the UK are committed to tackling the causes of poverty in their local area by providing free debt help and community groups.
Through a UK-wide network of CAP Projects, they have a vision of transformed lives, thriving churches and an end to UK poverty.
John Kirkby started Christians Against Poverty (CAP) in 1996 sacrificing his career in finance to use his knowledge of the industry to help those in need.
CAP has rapidly grown its Debt Centre network, with services to tackle the causes of debt and poverty also introduced.
CAP provide free professional debt help, job clubs, life skills groups and money education in the heart of communities. All their services are delivered face-to-face through local churches, which means you'll receive both the practical and emotional support you need on your journey.
As well as CAP Debt Help centres that will help you understand your options and choose the best route for you to become debt free, they can help you learn practical tools to help you live well on a low income through CAP Life Skills groups. They also provide help and advice to people stepping into employment through CAP Job Clubs where you will get practical help and gain the tools you need to find work.
