There is so much information available on the internet that it can often be a tedious and time consuming activity to search through the mass of advice that is available in order to find the information you need. Even government websites that have been set up to provide help can be difficult to find your way around.

My Advice Gateway has been built to help you find the information you need quickly and effectively. Links will take you to authoritative advice or the precise application form you need.

Furlough/Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme

Furlough is where an employee or worker agrees with their employer to stop work temporarily but stay employed. Furlough must be agreed in writing.

The Furlough/Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme was due to end on 31 October 2020 but has now been extended across the UK until the 30th April 2021.

Struggling with mortgage payments, rent and bills because of reduced income

The Government has agreed emergency measures with the utilty suppliers, banks, building societies and private landlords to assist people who are struggling to pay their bills because of reduced income, including mortgage/payment holidays and support for tenants, energy, water and telecoms customers.
