My Advice Gateway

My Advice Gateway is a free resource to help you quickly find the information you need to claim benefits, access help and support or look for a job or training opportunities. Other services include sections on banking, insurance and how to manage debt.

There is so much information available on the internet that it can often be a tedious and time consuming activity to search through the mass of advice that is available in order to find the information you need. Even government websites that have been set up to provide help can be difficult to find your way around.

My Advice Gateway has been built to help you find the information you need quickly and effectively. Links will take you to authoritative advice or the precise application form you need.

We hope you will find My Advice Gateway useful. If you do, why not tell your friends. . .

Emmaus is a homelessness charity that don’t just offer a bed for the night and a hot meal.

Emmaus, founded in Paris in 1949, offer a home for as long as someone needs it, as well as meaningful work and a sense of belonging in their social enterprises.

The first UK Emmaus community opened in 1992 and there are now 24 communities spread across the UK supporting around 600 formerly homeless people.

Although living in a community isn’t for everyone, it can offer the companionship and support that many people who have experienced homelessness have lost. This can be key to helping someone to stop, take stock, and start to regain a sense of control and stability in their lives.

For more information on Emmaus communities follow this link.

Emmaus communities depend on donations of furniture and other goods to keep their business going. We also save more than 3000 tonnes of items from going to landfill every year. Find out how you can donate to your local community at this link.

If you are currently homeless, or if you know someone who could benefit from support from Emmaus, get in touch with your local Emmaus community. They will be able to tell you if they have spaces available and if they are able to meet your individual needs.
